ACQUISITION FINANCE

Our team advises on the debt finance elements of corporate acquisition acting for banks, private equity houses and borrowers. In 2003 we completed 12 acquisition finance deals acting for debt providers, and numerous deals acting for borrowers.

TRADE FINANCE

The firm’s strength in the Banking industry, combined with our expertise in International Trade and Commodities, provides the necessary skills to document innovative yet secure structures for the financing of international trade. We use techniques such as factoring, letters of credit, receivables financing, pre-export financings and structured trade financings. Our knowledge of the commodities business, and experience of working with trading companies and trade associations, enables us to provide a cutting edge service to our clients.

DEBT RESTRUCTURINGS/WORKOUTS

Advising clients in connection with complex multi-creditor, cross jurisdictional restructuring operations in debt restructurings and rescheduling.

The firm acts for most of the major accountancy firms and many leading European clearing banks, with particular experience in the insurance, transport and leisure sectors. The team has worked on a number of restructurings involving both UK insolvency procedures and Chapter 11 proceedings. The firm has also represented bondholders in public and private restructurings.

INTERNATIONAL FINANCE
